Representative Joyce McDonald, first elected in 1996, has since served five very effective terms in the Washington State House of Representatives. Joyce championed the fight against crime and was recognized by Washington State police officers as Legislator of the Year for providing increased safety in our schools and communities, tighter sex offender laws, and tougher drunk driving and meth lab penalties. In addition to her advocacy for children, Joyce's priorities have been maintaining a healthy economy, reducing property taxes, protecting seniors, improving educational accountability and funding, and reducing traffic congestion.
