PERSONAL:

Joyce McDonald is a passionate naturalized American and demonstrates a great love of country in every challenge she undertakes. Joyce and her husband Gary have four grown children and ten grandchildren who all live in Pierce County. Gary is a Vietnam Veteran and a retired law enforcement officer. He also served with the State Attorney General’s Office investigating crimes against vulnerable adults. Joyce spent five terms in the Washington State House of Representatives and now serves on the Pierce County Council. Her continued goal is to be an effective advocate for our community wherever she serves and she will continue work hard to keep Pierce County a great place to live, work, and raise our families.
